For as long as I can remember, I thought that problem solving was a trait that best suited me. At The Pennsylvania State University where I received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, I discovered through structural engineering could truly utilize those strengths on a daily basis.
Like most high school students, I was unsure about what engineers really did on a daily basis. As a result, I now participate as a mentor in the ACE Mentoring Program which brings high school students into our workplaces to better familiarize them with the engineering/architecture profession. In addition to engineering and mentoring, I am also an instructor at the ITT Technical Institute teaching undergrads about civil engineering and related programs.
