Environetics provided services for a concept study of the conversion of an existing grocery store into a Medical office building. The building was organized with a central sky lit “public” spine with waiting rooms flanking the spine to create a very light open feel for all the waiting rooms and it would be designed as an interior “street”. Organizationally spaces then went from public at the spine to private as you got closer to exterior wall. In other words waiting rooms flank the common corridor then reception then exam rooms then doctor offices on the perimeter. They were laid out in such a way that they would work for small practices or be combined into one larger practice.
